Dome Loaner Program (Discontinued)
We are sorry to say because of the expiration of our NASA outreach grants, we no longer can provide the free dome loaner program. We unfortunately had some bad experiences with users not returning the equipment in good shape, and we no longer have the funds to maintain and upgrade the loaner equipment. Teachers in, and alumni of, the Master of Science Teaching Program and who have been trained while taking the ASTR530 course may continue to borrow the Rice system without charge.
We do offer "rent/purchase" options for Discovery Dome systems. 75% of the rental fees will apply to the purchase of a new or used system. Fill out an interest form for more information.

We do have an annular drawing for a "Free Dome Day". Teachers who join our "e-Teacher" mailing list and who specify interest in the planetarium will automatically be entered into the annual drawing.
