Secrets of the Sun is an intimate look at the Sun's role in the life of our solar system. From nuclear forces churning at the heart of the Sun, to mass ejections of solar material into surrounding space, audiences experience the power of the Sun and its impact on the planets'and ultimately life on Earth. The full-dome full-movie traces the life cycle of the Sun, going back to its beginning and moving forward in time to its eventual death.
Secrets of the Sun is dramatic, beautiful, and very timely, as our understanding of the Sun empowers our energy future and challenges human exploration of the moon and planets," said Dr. Carolyn Sumners, HMNS Curator of Astronomy.
